Adult Group Tennis Lessons

What are Adult Group Tennis Lessons?

Adult Group Tennis Lessons are designed to improve each players ability on the tennis court. You can expect to learn technical aspects of tennis such as what grip you should use for different shots, and tactical aspects such as where you should hit the ball to give yourself the best chance of success. We offer classes for various levels, starting from our Beginner class, moving to an Intermediate class, and through to an Advanced class.

What Class is Right for You?

Beginner

If you would like to learn the fundamentals of tennis, the Beginner class is right for you. We will cover a range of topics starting with how to hold the racquet correctly, eliminating the worst mistake in tennis (hitting into the net), and how to aim. The goal of this course is to get you to the stage where you can rally with simple but effective technique.

Intermediate

If you are at the stage where you can rally with some consistency (if you can hit 10 shots in a row reasonably comfortably), this class might be for you. The goal of the Intermediate class is to add advanced skills to the fundamental skills you already possess. We will cover a range of topics including how to swing with an efficient loop, how to hit topspin, and where to position yourself most effectively in singles and doubles (contrary to what many players do).

Advanced

The Advanced class is suitable for players of Division 2 pennant standard and above. The goal of this class is to observe players in high intensity drill and match situations, with coaches making generally minor adjustments to players' strategies and techniques where appropriate. We may cover topics such as improving the effectiveness of the kick serve, the importance of the first 4 shots, and statistics that will change your perspective on tennis strategy.

How to Prepare for Your First Class

Players are required to book into Adult Group Tennis Lessons before attending. To book, select Book Now on the appropriate day and program you would like to participate in from the Booking Page. These classes are offered as a term package, not one off lessons. If the term has already begun it is not too late to join one of our group classes, just contact us at info@tennis360.com.au or 0490606984 and we can enrol you. If you are interested in a class that is not currently available, contact us and we may be able to open a new class.

If a session is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will offer make up lessons at a later date.

What should you bring? We would recommend bringing a drink bottle and tennis racquet (although we do have racquets available). Wear active clothing and tennis shoes if possible. Runners are acceptable, however because they are designed to only move in a forwards direction they do not provide the best support for tennis' lateral movement. To order tennis shoes, contact us.

For new players, please complete a first time enrolment form.

Any questions, please contact us. We hope to see you at the courts!
